By design, SlateHouse has scale, currently managing over 7,000 units. This amount of scale is rare and doesn’t exist in scattered site property management outside of a handful of companies nationwide. Scale is a tremendous value-add for our owners. It allows us to negotiate better pricing on materials and contractor rates. Contractors give SlateHouse preferential treatment because they value the relationship. City inspectors and officials know SlateHouse and work well with SlateHouse. In addition to your experienced property manager and maintenance coordinator, SlateHouse has a leadership team that we are very proud of. These individuals have been hand selected for their diverse experience in the property management and real estate investing field. Our leadership team spans the east coast and consists of individuals with specialized experience in Real Estate Investing, Commercial Real Estate, HUD properties, Section 8, Maintenance, Evictions, Technology, and Digital Marketing.
Property management is tough. Some things are out of the landlord’s control. That is why it is so important to execute the items that you have control over. SlateHouse has engineered its operations to be systems that are repeatable and scalable. Every repeatable task is systemized and checked and checked again. For example we actually have a position at SlateHouse that is called the “checker”. The checker checks hundreds of tasks each and every day just to make sure they were completed.
