#1 -- A Modern Real Estate Company. SlateHouse was founded by engineering and math principles at the core. 16 different technologies are integrated together to form a modern day property management company that provides better returns for investors through the combination of technology, scaled operations, and the top team of local experts.
#2 -- 24 / 7 / 365. SlateHouse has 75+ employees to take care of your property literally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. If an emergency occurs on Christmas Day, the tenant calls the SlateHouse emergency hotline and SlateHouse takes care of the issue so you don't need to!
#3 -- Simple Rates. SlateHouse charges 6% a month of collected rent to manage the property. To find a tenant, we charge 50% of one months rent with a 9 month guarantee. (Note -- PA Deals properties come with a tenant via the PA Deals team!)
#4 -- Full Time Maintenance. We have seen the detrimental impacts to using sub-contractors. SlateHouse has over 35 full time employees with home repair expertise ---- including roofing, plumbing, electricians, carpenters, cleaners, HVAC, and more. This team is dedicated to maintaining rental units at a reasonable price in a timely manner. And keep in mind.... An owner can always use their own contractor (and SlateHouse will still arrange the work and won't add a fee).
#5 -- Harrisburg Office. The SlateHouse office is located at 2601 N Front St. It is fully staffed with a receptionist, to make it easy for tenants to pay rent in person or at our drop-box.
#6 -- Founders that Care. The two founders are Chad and Nate. They collectively are investors just like you -- owning over 200 units collectively. Chad graduated from UVA with a degree in Systems Engineering, Nate graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Mathematics.... math and engineering is truly at the core of the company. They each have devoted their life to improving SlateHouse for investors every day of the year for decades to come.
